George Diamantopoulos

George Diamantopoulos was born in Athens in 1951.

He graduated “Varvakeion” High school in 1969, Deere College in 1973 and the University of Massachusetts (MBA 1976).

His professional experience started in 1977 with FIX BREWERY where he worked until 1979 as Sales Manager.
He continued with AMERICAN EXPRESS Inc. (1979-1983) where he worked as Marketing Director and then with BRISTOL MYERS (1984-1988) as Divisional Director Consumer Products.

In 1988 he took over as President and Managing Director of JACOBS SUCHARD PAVLIDES (Chocolate Manufacturers) which in 1992 was acquired by Kraft General Foods

In 1993 he was promoted to President of the KRAFT GROUP in Greece and in 1996 he became Area Director for Greece and Bulgaria, while in 1998 he was assigned also Romania being in charge of the Balkan business.

In the beginning of 2000 he became President and Managing Director of the KRAFT FOODS GROUP. Under his leadership KRAFT in Greece has become one of Greece’s most profitable companies and a school for Sales and Marketing graduates. The company was awarded #1 position as a “Best Place to Work” in Greece and among the top 10 in Europe in 2004.

In May 2010, he founded SponsorValue Hellas SA. The company provides high level evaluation studies regarding clients’ sponsorship programs in sports, culture and entertainment.

In February 2017, he took over as Chairman of BoD of Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations.

He is a member of the BoD of Evropaiki Pisti Insurance Co. and has been an active member of various Associations such as the Hellenic Food Companies (SEVT), the General Council of Hellenic Industries (SEV), the Chocolate Industries (CAOBISCO) Chief Executive Officers (EASE), Hellenic Management (EEDE), the Greek Advertisers (SDE) and others.
